What is CreativeCamp? It is a broader-scope of topics for conversation and discussion stemming from BarCamp: BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering opony born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees. We will be opening it up to all topics related to being a successful creative professional, enterpreneur, or passionate new media gurus, communications, open source, on and offline advertising, marketing, and design.
On Saturday March 31st 2007, another CreativeCamp will take place: the third meetup for creative professionals, entrepreneurs, and eager-to-learn Philadelphians at BuildaBridge International offices, Germantown. Inspired by the success of BarCamp, where passionate people come together to learn, talk, teach, share and network, AND since we're still the first barcamp event to be held in Philly, it's time to do it again (and again)!
Building off of the excitement and brainpower generated at the other CreativeCamps, this one is sure to be a lively afternoon for new media amateurs, as well as more experienced technology professionals. The more people that attend, the more presentations will be available for your own content-choosing pleasure! The space affords comfort and creativity, so conversation will be dynamic and I know that anyone who comes will learn something! Compliant with BarCamp style, this mansion allows multiple concurrent sessions, so any level of knowledge can be accomodated: from "what exactly is a podcast?" to "open source computer graphics tools - What is GIMPshop, and why is it so cheap?"
